The object of the present study is to specify the contours of the ideological offensive of the ruling classes at the present stage of the international accumulation of capital, to discern the mobility of its agents, and to determine the transfers of power which the present phase exacts. What type of ideological apparatus accompanies the phenomenon of multinationalisation? To each phase of the process of accumulation of capital there corresponds a citizen made to the measure of a certain set of social practices which gives life to the legitimate and natural character of this process of accumulation. To each phase there corresponds mechanisms of conditioning which guarantee what the strategists of the Vietnam War denoted without precautionary oratorical deceits as 'the conquest of hearts and minds'.
