The oxford Energy Seminar is a forum in which experts representing all sides of the energy debate can meet for discussion. The first seminar was attended by senior national and international civil servants from energy companies and leading academics. Their papers presented in edited from here, address a wide range of issues and cover the whole field of energy : oil, gas, coal, nuclear and solar power. They are grouped in the following section : supplies , consumption institutional structures world energy outlook, issues and third world countries and oil exporting countries.
In surveying the current situation the book provides insights into the positions held by the man protagonists in the international energy debate and identifies those issues that concern them most.
