Summary: The Bar Council of India Trust launched a project in 1978 for the publication, in a series, of books on Constitutional Law and sixteen other subjects. A beginning has been made by this book on Constitutional Law. It will be in three volumes. This first volume covers the Preamble and Articles 1 to 151; the second will cover the rest of the Articles and the Schedules; the third will contain texts of some judgments and other informative material. The contributors to the book are Judges of the Supreme Court and Chief Justices and Judges of the High Courts, leading legal luminaries and academicians. The intention is to expose the law on the different subjects as it is today, avoiding much comment. Where it is considered necessary, extracts from judgments of the Supreme Court and Full Bench decisions of High Courts have been given at appropriate places.
