The joint venture is relatively a new method of stimulating industrial growth in a traditionally agrarian society. In joint ventures potential entrepreneurs are assisted by a governemnt promotional agency to take to Industry. Since the industrial unit is jointly run by the private sector entrepreneur, and the government agency, it is said to be in the joint sector, as distinguished from the purely government -run companies in the public sector or those run entirely by the private sector.
