Dilemmas of Politics.

By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: Chicago; University of Chicago.; 1958Description: 390 pSubject(s): DDC classification:
  • 320 Mor.
Summary: The essays which comprise this book were written during a period of almost twenty years for different publications on different occasions about different subjects. But they have been written by the same author, for whose unchanged philosophy and intellectual preoccupations they have furnished an opportunity for expression. They have been brought up to date and partly rewritten. Additions have been made primarily for the purpose of emphasizing the common concern of all these essays in what has been described here as the dilemmas of politics. I gratefully acknowledge the permission of the following publications and publishers to use copyrighted materials on which this book is based: American Journal of International Law, American Political Science Review, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Chicago Law Review, Commentary, Committee for Economic Development, Encounter, Harper & Brothers, International Social Science Review, Iowa Law Review, Yearbook of World Affairs, Northwestern University Press, Review of Metaphysics, Review of Politics, World Politics, Yale Review.
