| Summary, etc. | Widespread in the West are theories to the effect that the transnational corporations have nothing to do with arms production, that they are not involved in the arms race and the whipping up of international tension. Moreover, in the opinion of many bourgeois economists, they are virtually the main force acting in support of peace. Is this truly the case?<br/>In the author's opinion, the transnational corporations include companies that have a direct vested interest in the intensified militarisation of the capitalist economy. Many of these take either an indirect or a direct part in the implementation of large-scale arms program mes and reap enormous profits from this.<br/>How do the military-industrial TNCs function and how are they connected with the military-industrial complexes of the developed capitalist countries? The answers to these questions will be found in this book, devoted to these particular issues. |
