| Summary, etc. | This volume is intended to highlight the nature and manifestations of communalism as it manifests itself in our country and also to clearly indicate the pattern and magnitude of the riots that have occurred after Independence. A sincere attempt has been made to include in this Volume articles on the problem of communalism that reflect the views and thin kings of a wide spectrum of prominent intellectuals, thinkers and political leaders such as S. Nijalingappa, Babubhai J. Patel, EMS Namboodiripad, A. J. <br/>Jalali, Bipan Chandra, Indrajeet Gupta, Malti Malik, S. G. Mohiuddin, S. K. Chaturvedi, and R. N. Misra etc. All the articles, ncluded in this Volume, are highly relevant to the situation as it has developed in India on account of the resurgence of communalism in the post Independence period. The contributors have done invaluable service by making valuable suggestions and emphasising different aspects of the persisting problem that can lead to the development of harmonious relations among the various Indian Communities. |
