| Summary, etc. | On the eve of changing policy at home and elsewhere, it is imerative that we have a look back at the for mulation process and methods of our plans and see what is desirable. We do not realise that an exercise is not worth being called a plan un less its implementability is indi cated. That there may be problems with the formulation itself is not much known to people at large. It is with this view that this monograph has been prepared so that people may be in a posiition to appreciate the limitations of such exercises, as well as to com prehend their potentialities. While the need for policy modell ing is emphasized in this book. A critique is also made of clumsy and mysterious presentation of the technical reports by the Planning Commission.<br/><br/>This slender volume would be use ful to all those interested in plan ning process in general and as practised in our country. |
