| Summary, etc. | The Family Life Centre of the Indian Social Institute seeks to strengthen family living in modern India through its many educational programmes, counselling and social services. In November, 1971, it organised the All-India Seminar on "The Indian Family in the Change and Challenge of the Seven ties," as the need was increasingly felt to examine the many complex factors affecting the pattern of marriage and family life in India, to review the trends in the programmes and ser vices to youth and families, and to formulate guidelines for future programmes and services to the family in India. To achieve these overall objectives, the general theme of the<br/><br/>Seminar was divided into the following four sections: 1. The Indian Family in the Midst of Change.<br/><br/>2. Youth, Family and Social Living.<br/><br/>3. Family Life Education in a Changing Society. <br/>4. Counselling and Social Services to the Family. |
