Summary, etc. With the rapid industrialization of the country the problems of labour-management relations concerning strikes, lock-outs, picketing and other instruments of economic coercion have multiplied. In many industrially advanced countries the system of collective bargaining has been adopted to resolve problems of wages and to regulate conditions of employ ment. India has adopted adjudication system as an alternative to collective bargaining.
