| Summary, etc. | Indian Constitution is both a legal and a social document. It provides a machinery for the governance of the country. It also contains the ideals accepted by the nation. The political machinery created by the Constitution is a means to the achieving of this ideal. The references to the political, economic and social justice and to the liberty of thought, expression, belief and faith are not ornamental. It is the constitutional obligation of every Indian whether in the legislature, the executive or the judiciary or even as an ordinary citizen to work for the achievement of that ideal. |
