Summary, etc. | "Transactional Analysis: An Introduction to Basic Concepts" is what the title suggests: a distillation of TA theory and practice that is logically consistent and empirically verified as well as being concise and pointed. This book is an overview of a larger work of the author's "Transactional Synthesis", which, is in process of being written on TA as a good working model of human behaviour.
The usefulness of "Basic Concepts" is that it ties together bits and pieces of TA theory from both Eric
Berne's own writings as well as those of the TA world in such a way that there is a logical place for all. "Basic
Concepts" answers the need of professionals who want to specialise in TA and who ask a lot of questions; many of these are tackled in this book. It is useful for TA practitioners who wish to share their own insights of TA with others. And, for those who want to join one of the TA societies that insists on an understanding of TA as a condition of membership, here is a key to that under- standing.
This book has been designed on a question-answer basis and covers the requirements of the TA 101 course. (The TA 101 course is officially required for membership in TASI, the TA Society of India, and in ITAA, the International TA Association.) Here, the contents of the official TAlOl have been earranged and have beet dealt with either under separate questions or within other answers. The book can be used in stages

|
