Summary, etc. | A lot has been said on the tribal development but still our brethren shows a little change even after thirty five years of independence, hence there must be some thing wrong either with the development programmes or with the tribals themselves. Now it is the responsibility of an anthropologist to as a social doctor to diagnose the disease, prescribe the medicines; follow up the treatment, change the perscription if needed and finally bring about the health and happiness in the tribal society. The author has this idea behind his present work. The entire plan for the tribal development is mooted at the centre and is implimented through out the country in the smallest unit-the Block, the microscopic study of the tribal development in the single block reflects the national scene and its critical analysis. The present work is the result of a metaculous field work among the villages. The development of the tribals has been viewed through Community Development Programme A special emphasis has been laid to diagnose the problems of the tribals who live in isolation. After completing the study one feels that if the present state of affairs in the tribal development continues, the future is very weak. At the end of this book several recomendations for tribal development have been suggested by the author. |
