| Summary, etc. | The present collection of papers is centered round a single theme planning. But the problems asso ciated with planning have been viewed from different angles using various quantitative techniques.<br/><br/>The first paper is a critical review of the national economic planning models used or discussed in various forms in India and the status of the planning effort as a process.<br/><br/>The second paper deals with how national plans may be brought into harmony with international market conditions in a reasonably precise way.<br/><br/>The third paper is concerned with regional planning with special reference to Iranian economy.<br/><br/>The regional planning aspect is further narrowed down in the fourth paper relating to the growth of metropolitan regions of India Bombay, Madras. Calcutta, Delhi and<br/><br/>The fifth paper deals with problem of transport planning in Calcutta and demonstrates the use of multi variate analysis in a variety of situation. |
