Economic development in South Asia
Khan, Mohsin (ed.)
Economic development in South Asia - New Delhi Tata McGraw-Hill 2005 - 437 p.
This volume brings together a collection of seven studies on the diverse development issues affecting South Asia. These studies emerged from collaborative research in the region, i.e., each research was carried out by researchers from two or more research institutes, based in different countries in South Asia. The studies were funded by the South Asia Network of Economic Research Institutes (SANEI)- a regional initiative set up in 1998 to foster research collaboration and exchange among scholars based in South Asia. Promotion of cross-border collaborative research in the region has in effect, been a major accomplishment under the aegis of SANEL. This initiative was anchored and coordinated by Indian Council of Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER).
