Labour economics
Fleisher, Belton M.
Labour economics - Englewood Cliffs Prentice-Hall 1970 - 304 p.
Author wrote this book because Author believe that it is fruitful to develop a central theoretical fram for dealing with the subject matter of labor economics and to apply the hypotheses derived from the theory to a wide variety of topics. Author believe this for two reasons: (1) the economic theory of competition¹ and appropriate modifications of the theory which include the implications of monopoly situations (e.g. when dealing with the subject of labor unions) are potentially able to provide a framework for understanding a wide variety of important topics in labor economics; (2) the only way we shall ever progress beyond a most crude perception of the way labor markets function is by developing a central or unifying theoretical framework and applying it to the subject matter of labor economics.
