This Directory has been designed to provide the addresses and names of concerned officers, as far as possible, in government departments dealing with India's natural resources.
The directory has been divided into fifteen sections like Environment, Water,
Agriculture etc. for easy and speedy reference. We have tried to make the directory as comprehensive as possible without making it too unwieldy and complicated to use.
Compilation of this kind of information, especially names, has not proved to be easy. In fact, we have had to update the information twice due to the frequent movement of personnel and changes of committees in government institutions.
Inspite of all our efforts to provide the latest information, we are aware that some names may still be outdated. We request you to bear with us and also give us your valuable suggestions and information which we can add to it, so that our next effort is even better.
Enclosed in the directory are forms for updating information in the directory. We request you to fill these forms and send them to us for necessary corrections in future volumes of the directory.
