U.S., India and the bomb
Williams, Shelton L.
U.S., India and the bomb - Maryland Johns Hopkins 1969 - 86 p.
This study analyzes Indian-American relations in the light of the U. S. nonproliferation policy, India's early decision to provide for a nuclear option, and the private and offcial sentiment in India toward the Nonproliferation Treaty. The final chapter summarizes the pro and con arguments of the Indian nuclear debate. Mr. Williams poses some very crucial questions about the effects of the United States' Asian policy on nonproliferation, about our regional versus our global interests, and about the problems of a poor country that wants to be self-sufficient in a nuclear world.
