520			_aThrough this publication, the officers of the All India Services and Central Civil Services undergoing training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie have expressed themselves about the state of affairs of the body politic in the country. It has been observed that a politician or a group of politicians often enters the arena of communal strife generally in search of political power. This trend has divided the people on communal lines. The people at large need to be educated in this regard. The young officers, who have expressed their views through the essays, are in their late twenties and will grow in service to become responsible officers of the government and hopefully acquire distinction for dispensing justice and fairplay in governance. This analysis will help the administrators and planners to think rationally without prejudice in preparing and implementing policies to establish a truly pluralistic, secular and tolerant society in which the people of different communities and faiths will live in harmony and peace. It is hoped that various suggestions made here will help in alleviating the distress of people and would liminate and banish the scourge of communalism from our country which is known for peace, tolerance and harmony.
