The Hindi text of the Act was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section IA, No. 23, Vol. X. dated 7th August, 1974 on pages 201 to 307. This text of the Act was prepared by the Official Languages Wing and it was pub lished under the authority of the President under Section 5(1) of the Official Languages Act, 1963, and on such publication, it became the authoritative text in Hindi.
