It starts with seismic risk evaluation of Tehri Dam, and ended up with lifespan of reservoir covering rehabilitation of Dam oustees, cost benefit ratio, deforestation, receding glaciers, and so on. The remarkable feature of the book is that it consists of various expert opinions claims of Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC) and counter claims of hill environmentalists in general. Further it is having separate chapter on general discussion, in which Tehri Dam is correlated with other large dams in India and various facts of large dams in India are thoroughly discussed.
