520			_aDr. Tope's work enjoys a rare and privileged place amongst the books on Constitutional Law of India. The Indian Bar Review, in a review of the first edition compares it to Dicey's Law of the Constitution, and places it in that class. The Academy Law review finds in him "an expert on constitutional law.." The first edition was highly appreciated by lawyers and judges and there was a demand for an enlarged edition of the work. The author has therefore made this edition very elaborate and exhaustive. The learned author has made an incisive and analytical study of the many recent political and constitutional developments that have influenced the basic thinking on the Constitution of India.
