Realising the need for integrating technology and people for rapid socio-economic development, a regional convention on "INTEGRATING TECHNO LOGY AND PEOPLE: CHALLENGES AHEAD" was organised by the Hyderabad Chapter of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering in 1985.
