520			_aEconomic Co-operation bet ween India and the United States has several facets, a study of which is necessary for any fuller understanding of the growth process in India. This co-operation between the two leading democracies of the world has played an important role in the post independence economic development of India. Half of the foreign aid for India has come from the United States.
