520 | _aThe present book is an attempt to analyse the law relating to culpable homicide and murder as enshrined in sections 299 and 300 of the Indian Penal Code, which are the gravest offences against human body. The distinction between the two offences is fine but real. Unfortunately, no co-ordinated efforts have been made by sociologists, crimi nologists and jurists to study the subject although various committees as well as Law Commissions have examined the question at great length. Nor have the students and teachers of criminology and criminal law find any book to help them make a proper study of the subject. It is in this background that the present study has been made with the object to deal exhaustively and critically the law relating to these gravest offences. | ||
