The process of industrialization is not a weekend trip because great handicaps have to be eradicated. in order to construct a homogeneous industrial society. In most of these countries the industrial society no doubt will have a important agricultural background. But industrialization will put a completely new face on a country. From this point of view it appears that the new industries must ensure a growth of the national income to such an extent that the needs can be met on an increasing scale in the face of the continuously growing population. It is impossible for a small, and even for a medium-size country to develop all industries. The number of industries to be developed will depend on the extent of the available market, on experiences, national resources, and also on political conditions. Therefore, taking part in the international division of labour is necessary from the very beginning. | ||
