About The Author: Born in 1967 at Baba Bakala (Amritsar, Punjab), Dr Teginder Kumar has a long experience as a Grassroota Social activist and political observer/commentor. He did his M.A in Political Science and received his Ph.D from Punjabi University, Patiala in 2002. Dr Teginder Kumar has made significant contribution to the discourse of federalism and democracy in India. He has also co-authored a reference book The Political Punjab (1966-2001). In addition he has published several research papers and articles, and attended many conferences and seminars. He is currently working on the study of the relationship of media and politics in Punjab.
