The Study is however made against the wider background of industrial relations system of the country as a whole. Employing Prof. Dunlop's analysis to the state level industrial relations system of Karnataka, attention is focussed on the complex inter-relations among the three different viz the employers, the employees organisations and the agencies of the Government of the State in the rule making process and proceedures, under the given socio-economic conditions, particularly in the setting of government regulation, for pre venting and settling of industrial disputes. This has helped to reflect the nature of industrial relations system in the State. In this context it is suggested that similar state level studies of industrial relations of all the states of Indian union are necessary not only because they help making comparisons among those sub-systems but also they serve to provide a better picture of the national industrial relations system of the country as a whole. The present work is a revised version of my doctoral dissertation submitted to the University of Mysore. | ||
