The book therefore consists of a series of Incidents illustrating individual, group and inter-group behaviour in a working environ- ment as seen through the eyes of a busy manager, and is designed to help the reader to test and enlarge upon his knowledge and to develop his social skills. Each Incident is accompanied by a short summary of the relevant theories of behaviour and a questionnaire which gives the reader an opportunity to analyse himself as an initial requirement before he can interpret behaviour.
