520 _aThe sixth Workshop on East-West European Economic Interaction' organised by the Vienna Institute for Comparative Economic Studies was held in May 1980 at the Inter University Centre, Dubrovnik. The genius loci of this enchanting Dalmatian city provided a most congenial setting for exploring the complex theme of this session - European Economic Relations and the Developing Countries'. The relaxed atmosphere of a scholarly search for mutual understanding and feasible solutions, which has characterised our Worksho meetings, again prevailed, against a background of growing international tensions and a deadlock in the North-South Dialogue. Nearly 50 economists with experience of development problems from East and West Europe, North America and the developing countries, and from international organisations, participated. This volume is based upon the papers presented to the Work shop and on selected contributions to the discussions. The participants are listed in the appendix.
