| 520 | _aThis is the Seventh Edition of Volume III of the All India Services Manual it contains rules and regulations framed under the All India Services Act, 1951 applicable to the Indian Police Service and Indian Forest Service The amendments issued to these rules and regulations issued up to 31.10 2010 have been incorporated in this edition. The Government of India decisions and instructions under these rules and regulations have been cited to the extent possible. 2. Like the Sixth Edition, the manual is being published in three parts viz. Part containing the rules and the regulations to all the All India Services, Part-II containing the rules and regulations applicable to the Indian Administrative Service, and Part-III containing the rules and regulations applicable to the Indian Police Service and Indian Forest Service. In this edition, all Government of India decisions and related executive instructions have been segregated and appear after the main rules. For more authoritative and up-to-date information, the latest orders and instructions will have to be consulted. All the rules have since been made available on our web site and can be visited at http://www.persmin.nic.in. 3. While every effort have been made to ensure that there are no mistakes, it is likely that some errors might have crept in or omissions gone unnoticed.
