520			_aIndustrial Dispersal Policies is based on a Phd thesis approved by the Bombay University in 1977, and is an outstanding effort on the part of the author in that it assesses the success of the policies of industrial dispersal from the point of view of financial institution and development agencies. as also from the viewpoint of the beneficiary units. The most valuable part of the study is the field data pertaining to 99 units located in the developed and developing areas of Maharashtra State comprehensive questionnaries were compiled for this purpose. A series of interviews were held by the author with entrepreneurs, manager, financial institutions and development corporations to get new insights into the conditions and factors which are responsible for industrial dispersal.
