520 _aThe Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage is a wholly autonomous body, set up for the conservation of our natural and cultural heritage. The society aims with the active participation of its members, to create an awareness among the public for the preservation of this heritage, by acting as a pressure group when any part of it is threatened by damage or destruction arising either out of private acts or public policy.
