520 _aThis Edition gives the applicability of each Article to the State of Jammu & Kashmir, so that the Bench and the Bar of that State need not look for any separate publication for their purposes. Published under the hazards of mounting costs of paper and printing, this book still offers the maximum of practical value to the Bar and the Universities (most of which have prescribed this book for their Law courses), at the cheapest price. The author reiterates once more that there is no scope in a work like the present one to express the Author's own views upon any question; for that the reader will have to turn to the Commentary on the Constitution of India. That book is now in its Silver Jubilee Edition, of which Volumes A and B have already been published. Vol. C, comprehending Art. 19 onwards, which was so long withheld owing to talks about amending Art. 19, would soon be released as the Swaran Singh Committee's proposals do not indicate any change in the text covered by Vol C.
