520 _aThe achievement of growth with social justice in Indian agriculture depends not only on development programmes for generating growth in production but also on a package of policy programmes to bring about changes in the agrarian structure of land-production relations. In the present agrarian structure of land-production relations, the production-bias development program mes deprive the weaker sections of rural India of the fruits of growth. This is the experience from the spurt of new farm technology and practices during the 'sixties. This book shows as to what extent the present agrarian structure of land-production relations has under gone change, and as to how the process of distribution operates in favour of one class as against another. With this background, this book has made an attempt to show as to what extent the normative structure of land reform policy has been conducive to change the present agrarian structure with a view to making it responsive to growth with distributive justice in Indian agriculture.
