Poverty: an interdisciplinary approach

This is a collection of studies by scholars from different parts of the world on a subject of wide and general interest to students of social anthropology and related disciplines. The subject has been attracting attention since the forties when Redfield and few other scholars started anthropological study of the peasantry.
