<br/><br/> This volume contains a collection of essays reflecting interdisciplinary<br/>perspectives on political violence. The original impetus for most of the<br/>papers came from a Conference on Political Micro-Violence held at the<br/>University of Texas at Austin in March 1971. We are indebted to the<br/>University of Texas for its financial support of this conference, and, in<br/>particular, we wish to express our appreciation to Dean John Silber and<br/>Provost Stanley Ross for their sincere interest and continued support.<br/>We are also grateful to the Hogg Foundation, and particularly to Direc-<br/>tor Wayne Holtzman, for the support the Foundation provided.
