<br/><br/> The National Centre for Gender Training, Planning and Research at Lal<br/><br/>Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration is organizing a<br/><br/>workshop on Reaching Out To Ch 'dren" in collaboration with UNICEF<br/><br/>which is focussing on "Women and Child Issues". take this opportunity in<br/><br/>thanking UNICEF for its help in organizing the Conference.<br/><br/>This module is specifically designed with the objective of sensitizing<br/><br/>you to the needs of reaching out to the weaker sections of society; specially<br/><br/>women and children. The empowerment and autonomy of women and the<br/><br/>improvement of their political, social economic and health status are highly<br/><br/>important ends in themselves. The need to reach out to children, the most<br/><br/>vulnerable section of society cannot be undermined for Children are<br/><br/>dependent upon others for their health and well being.<br/><br/>This workshop has been designed to cover the weltare programs in<br/><br/>the sectors of Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Development and Water<br/><br/>and Sanitation. The manual has been prepared with the financial assistance<br/><br/>of UNICEF. The reading material also incorporates some success stories,<br/><br/>which you will find extremely useful. The reading material provided to you<br/><br/>has been selected with a view to assist you in understanding the issue<br/><br/>completely and to ensure that Women and Children are better equipped.<br/><br/>The NCGTPR, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of<br/><br/>Administration, extends a warm welcome to you.
