Serving bosses big and small: Reminiscences of an information officer
- New Delhi IIMC 1998
- 88p.
The narration is essentially a catalogue of case studies of problems faced by a publicity officer of the Government of India and the solutions that he is called upon to work out at his own initiatives; there being no laid down charter of duties and responsibilities. The dimensions of his work can be as wide as he decides to make it.
It may also be called a diary because it reflects the quality of relationship that evolves between the policy makers and a publicity man, in the discharge of their duties, as a natural corollary. Being personalised the narration also reflects moments of fulfilment, occasional sense of achievement and at times devastating frustration.
