Fleisher, Belton M.

Labour economics - Englewood Cliffs Prentice-Hall 1970 - 304 p.

Author wrote this book because Author believe that it is fruitful to develop a central theoretical fram for dealing with the subject matter of labor economics and to apply the hypotheses derived from the theory to a wide variety of topics. Author believe this for two reasons: (1) the economic theory of competitionš and appropriate modifications of the theory which include the implications of monopoly situations (e.g. when dealing with the subject of labor unions) are potentially able to provide a framework for understanding a wide variety of important topics in labor economics; (2) the only way we shall ever progress beyond a most crude perception of the way labor markets function is by developing a central or unifying theoretical framework and applying it to the subject matter of labor economics.
