In the second and third volumes of Economic Policy in Our Time, we describe the economic policies of our eight countries, in the twelve-year period from 1949 to 1961. These volumes thus consist of eight country chapters devoted respectively to the United States, the United Kingdom and Norway (volume 2), and to the Common Market countries (Luxembourg expected): Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Germany (volume 3). The structure of these country studies, the format and the type of information included, have all been decided primarily with a view to international comparability on the basis of the terminology and system of analysis of policy described in detail in the first volume of this work..
