THE first edition of this book dealt with the period ending 1984. Since then vast new changes had taken place in the Indian dairy industry and it was considered only right and proper that the history of that industry be brought up-to-date. This has now been done, bringing the story right up to 1994. Errors that had crept in the first edition have now been corrected but nothing else has been changed. Responsibility for all the opinions expressed in the book is that of the author alone.
