Since I was nine years old, I have been engaged in business. Through my long business life I have thought Since I was nine years old, I have been my about man and society. The nature of man and the direc- tion mankind should take are themes the too great to be discussed fully in the course of even a thousand books. Indeed, all over the world many studies have been made and copious books published concerning these topics. To further discussion and thought on the question, "What is man and how should he act in socie- ty? as well as to introduce a new perspective on this age-old query, T decided to publish Ningen o Kangaeru (Thoughts on Man) in English so it could be shared by people outside Japan.
