This book reflects my reaffirmation of certain ideas and ideals, which have been dear to me throughout my life. They have shaped my social and political thinking and have enthused me to carry on my crusade. The seat of power has never been a point of attraction in my life. The struggle for our Independence and the supreme sacrifice by our great martyrs and freedom-fighters have been the perennial fountain of my inspiration. Their example has given me the courage of conviction and the determination for the realisation of their dreams, aspirations and deeply cherished goals.
