Plato And The Upanisads is a penetrating study in comparative Philosophy. It puts in perspective the parallel lines of thought between one of the giants of classical Greek Philosophy, Plato, and the fundamental texts of ancient Indian wisdom, the Upanisads. Although general comparisons and parallelisms between Greek and Indian thought were occasionally made in the past by western as well as by Indian scholars, very few have dealt more specifically with them.
