After years of working in the one hand as analysts if adults and on the other hand as child analysts, with children of all ages, all descriptions, and all degrees of mental health and illness, we have come to the conclusion that there may be room within the psychoanalytical discipline for a subsection of theoretical and clinical formulations which can serve as a basis for a psychoanalytic psychology of child development.
