The dark, intense - looking youth who tramped the streets of downtown Bombay looking for work was the proverbial Angry young Man, prickly with resentment against the ills of society. He had quarrelled with his father, who was an insurance agent, and left home in a huff with, it is said , nothing bu the clothes he wore, which were a white cotton shirt and a pair of Khaki shorts. If there was any money in a pocket of the shorts, it was mainly in the form of loose change.
