Today and tomorrow: perspectives for Indian economy
- New Delhi Indraprastha Press 1980

This book brings together, in a restructured and edited form, the speeches and addresses delivered by Hari Shankar Singhania as President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry during 1979-80. They were delivered in various centres all over India to the Federation's constituents and to others in India and abroad. Two of them are memorial addresses-in memory of Frank Moraes and B.D. Amin. The arrangement of the speeches is not chronological but broadly thematic.
The themes, as will be seen from the range of subjects discussed in the speeches, touch virtually everything of importance to the Indian economy at present and in the near future-prices and inflation, industrial and agricultural production planning and the raising of resources for it, taxation, the over riding importance of industrial peace, exports and foreign exchange, etc. There are also speeches that give an account of efforts made by FICCI to promote business cooperation with foreign countries.
