The idea for this book was conceived long before it was actually written. In 1955, while I was spending a year at the London School of Economics, Sir Oswald Mosley was invited to speak by one of the political societies. For two days large numbers of students turned from their more formal academic pursuits to debate whether the former British fascist leader should be allowed a platform at the School.
