The political economy of romanticism represents a controversial area in economic thought reflecting a certain degree of
nationalism and mysticism. In general, it stresses the importance of cultural values in economic life explaining the relationship between intellectual activities and the growth of productive forces in the light of the tradition developed by Adarn Mueller in the early nineteenth century.
